Stasera 19 novembre andranno in onda gli American Music Awards 2017 presentati da Tracee Ellis Ross, in diretta dal Microsoft Theatre di Los Angeles. Lo show sarà visibile sul canale ABC dalle ore 17.00 americane e dalla mezzanotte orario italiano.

Gli AMAs sono uno dei tre principali eventi statunitensi dedicati ai premi musicali, insieme ai Billboard Music Awards e ovviamente ai Grammy Awards. Creati nel 1973 da Dick Clark per competere con i Grammy, la prima edizione fu presentata da Michael Jackson e Donny Osmond.

Innumerevoli gli ospiti che saliranno sul palco dell’arena losangelina con Lady Gaga come nome di punta. Tuttavia Miss Germanotta potrebbe non essere presente all’evento perché impegnata nel Joanne World Tour, serie di concerti da poco ripresa dall’artista in seguito alla fibromialgia e che la porterà sul palco del Mediolanum Forum di Milano il 18 gennaio. Altro grande nome è Shawn Mendes, il cantante diventato famoso grazie a Youtube, che dopo aver sbancato agli MTV Europe Music Awards 2017 si esibirà sul palco degli AMAs 2017 con la sua hit There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.

Scontro ai vertici della musica nella nomination Tour Of The Year tra U2 e Coldplay. Il gruppo di Bono Vox ha portato in giro per tutto il 2017 il The Joshua Tree Tour, celebrazione dei 30 anni dello storico album degli U2, mentre i Coldplay sono diventati la terza band con il maggior incasso nella storia della musica con l’A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.
