Prodotto dall’artista stesso insieme aย Don Wasย e registrato agli Henson Studios di Los Angeles, “Sob Rock” segna il ritorno da solista di Mayer dopo “The Search for Everything” del 2017. “Last Train Home”ย รจ caratterizzato dalle classiche sonoritร che contraddistinguonoย Mayer e Maren Morrisย ha un cameo all’interno della traccia e del video mentre il percussionistaย Lenny Castroย (Toto) e il tastieristaย Gregย Phillinganesย (Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Toto) hanno collaborato alla stesura del brano.
