Peter McNeish, in arte Pete Shelley, fondatore della band punk Buzzcocks รจ morto giovedรฌ 6 dicembre all’etร di 63 anni a casa sua in Estonia a causa di un sospetto attacco di cuore.
Pete Shelley e Howard Devoto fondarono insieme i Buzzcocks a Bolton, in Inghilterra, e debuttarono dal vivo nel 1976 in apertura ai Sex Pistols. Nel 1977 uscรฌ il primo EP “Spiral Scratch” e pubblicarono in totale 9 album di cui l’ultimo รจ “The Way” del 2014.
I piรน grandi successi della band sono “Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)?”, usata in diverse colonne sonore del cinema e serie tv, e “Why Can’t I Touch It?”. Shelley pubblicรฒ anche diversi album da solista.
