Dopo la pubblicazione di “No Nukes 1979”, Bruce Springsteen continua il suo appuntamento mensile con i bootleg ufficiali: questa volta è il momento dello show tenutosi il 23 maggio 1988 al Madison Square Garden di New York insieme con la sua E- Street Band.
Il concerto rientra nel tour di presentazione dell’album del 1987 “Tunnel Of Love” – questo è l’ultimo show negli Stati Uniti prima del tour europeo che lo avrebbe portato in Italia a Torino e Roma – e presenta una scaletta con 8 cover di artisti come John Lee Hooker, Woody Guthrie, Edwin Starr, Richard Berry, Arthur Conley, Eddie Floyd, Jackie Wilson. Tutti artisti che hanno contraddistinto la crescita e cultura musicale del Boss, tra soul, blues e country. Nella scaletta è presente anche “For Your Love” (cover di Ed Townsend) suonata solamente durante il soundcheck.
