La 39esima edizione degli MTV Video Music Awards 2022 (VMAs) si è tenuta nella notte tra il 28 e il 29 agosto 2022, presso il Prudential Center di Newark in New Jersey, condotta da Jack Harlow, LL Cool J e Nicki Minaj: tra i vincitori Måneskin, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, BTS, Blackpink, Anitta.
I nostri Måneskin si sono portati a casa il primo premio della loro carriera nella categoria Best Alternative mentre Harry Styles ha conquistato ben tre premi: Best Album con “Harry’s House”, Best Cinematography con “As It Was” e Best Pop. Taylor Swift ha ritirato due premi – Video Of The Year e Best Longform Video – mentre il premio Artist Of The Year è di Bad Bunny. Anitta ha conquistato la categoria Best Latin: è la prima artista brasiliana a vincere un MTV VMA.
