Pat Torpey, storico batterista e membro fondatore della band rock americana Mr Big, è morto all’età di 64 anni mercoledì 7 febbraio 2018 in seguito alle complicazioni derivanti dal morbo di Parkinson.
Pat Torpey fondò nel 1988 insieme a Eric Martin e Billy Sheehan la hard rock band Mr Big con i quali fece otto album tra il 1989 e il 2014. Scrisse anche due album da solista nel 1998 e nel 1999.

“Con il cuore spezzato vi diciamo che nostro fratello, amico, batterista e membro fondatore, Pat, è scomparso mercoledì 7 febbraio in seguito alle complicazioni del Parkinson. La famiglia, la band e il management richiedono privacy in questo momento molto difficile. I servizi sono sospesi.”
